The Family and Friends® program is intended for family members who want to learn rescue skills for loved ones. This course is perfect for new and expectant parents, grandparents, relatives, and seniors. This class presents and teaches the skills of CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and relief of choking for adults, children, and infants.

This course is intended for those participants who are interested in learning the skills but do not need a course completion card.

MASKS ARE OPTIONAL.  

 

EACH PARTICIPANT MUST BE REGISTERED SEPARATELY AND PAY $40.00.  

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction and automated external defibrillation.  This course will consist of classroom instruction, practice on CPR manikins, and evaluation of skills.  There will be a 25 question written exam (open resource) at the end of the course.

This BLS course offering is for nursing students.  Each student is required to borrow a book from the Talent Development Office,15 Essex Rd., Suite 309, Paramus, New Jersey prior to class.
