BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) COURSE OVERVIEW

The American Heart Association BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) for Healthcare Providers course is intended for healthcare providers who require certification in CPR and emergency cardiovascular care. The curriculum includes:

o  Adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer techniques)

o  Use of a bag-mask device

o  Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction

o  Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)

TWO-YEAR Certification is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
